The training strengthens interns’ practical skills in legal, policy and community-based research, including developing research questions, identifying credible sources, analysing laws and policies, organising evidence, professional note-taking, case documentation and report writing.

Through practical exercises, interns are also learning to distinguish facts from opinions and legal arguments, prepare structured reports, and work in two research cohorts on assigned topics. The training also focuses on professional note-taking, documenting cases and community experiences, and preparing structured reports that present findings, analysis, conclusions and recommendations. Through practical exercises, the interns are gaining essential skills to support evidence-based research and effective documentation of community legal empowerment and environmental justice issues.
